Our Services

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a gentle and effective hands-on approach to healthcare, based on the principle that the way your body moves influences how it functions.

Osteopaths are highly competent healthcare professionals, recognised by the NHS as fully qualified to diagnose and treat independently.

Shockwave

Shockwave therapy is a NICE approved, non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that is effective in the treatment of ongoing tendon problems. Also known as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, or EWST, it uses the power of high energy sound waves to target chronically painful tendon tissues, promoting healing and relieving pain.

Medical Acupuncture

Western Medical Acupuncture is a therapeutic modality involving the insertion of fine needles; it is an adaptation of Chinese acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, and the principles of evidence based medicine.

Electro-
acupuncture

Electroacupuncture is a modern variation of acupuncture. It uses needles placed in the same spots. Then, a small electrode is attached to the needles. A small amount of electricity runs through the electrode and gives a slight vibration or soft hum during treatment. It helps to block your pain by activating bioactive chemicals in your body.

Movement
& Rehab

“We may strengthen or stretch a muscle, but without making it meaningful through movement, the brain does not necessarily know what to do with the new potential.” - Joanne Elphinston, Consultant Physiotherapist.

Originally from Yorkshire, I trained at the University College of Osteopathy, the oldest and largest school of osteopathy in Europe, where I gained a Masters in Osteopathy. I also have a Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage and qualified in Western Medical Acupuncture and Shockwave Therapy.I firmly believe in the importance of treating pain and injury while also creating strong, resilient bodies that are protected from injury in the future. We all have the potential to perform exercise, movement, and day-to-day tasks without the fear of injury and I’m keen to inspire this ability and confidence in patients. My interests are broad. I love cycling, swimming, running and gym work. I have sailed extensively, obtaining my Yachtmaster Certificate, spending many years racing on the Solent and then major offshore races for days at a time including the Fastnet. I have also completed two transatlantic voyages.

Andy is a truly holistic practitioner. He combines osteopathic techniques with soft tissue release and acupuncture. His extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of the muscular skeletal system is second to none, and this combined with his patient, gentle and non-judgmental questioning/listening means he is able to incredibly quickly identify and locate the issue causing the pain and provide immediate, effective treatment. Andy’s knowledge about wider lifestyle/self care issues (e.g. stress, nutrition, relaxation techniques) makes for a unique holistic treatment plan

TESTIMONIALS

Peter E

Andy was amazing with his diagnosis and treatment. Even after the first treatment my pain was reduced and mobility improved. After three sessions I was feeling brand new. Highly recommended.

Elena S

Andy helped me so much with chronic migraines, back issues and tension. He gave me some great recommendations and exercises to do at home. It’s a bit addictive though - so i’ll definitely be back.

Ines N

Andy is the most caring and thoughtful professional I have ever encountered. He has really gone out of his way to help my son, looking beyond a surface diagnosis to try and uncover other contributory factors. Apart from being a talented osteopath, he has a wealth of knowledge around health matters in general. He is kind and patient and detail oriented. I am very grateful for his help and support for my son during a challenging period. I highly recommend Andy and wish him well in his new practice.
